My grandfather was Greek and so was Gus, who owned and ran the Peppercorn until about six months ago. I wish him well and many happy journeys back to beautiful Greece. So on this Sunday morning in sleepy Sunday, I had just had a typically unpleasant experience at the other diner and knew it'd be better here. It was. As I walked in, I was welcomed with a cheery "good morning". Bright and spotless. I slid into a booth - alone and wasn't upbraided. Friendly regulars trickled in. "Did you miss me?" asked one woman as a cheery Peppercorn employee responded "of course!" "Oh I don't believe you one bit but I'm glad I made you say it!" The food was perfectly fine, tad pricey but worth the price for a pleasant, clean, respectful, and cheerful atmosphere. THE breakfast spot in Summit, New Jersey. And Peppercorm wasn't in Hemingway's the Killers. Truth is that no diner in Summit was.

A fine diner. They make omelets with real eggs, the place is spotless, the service is excellent. Nothing fancy, just a solid OG diner.

Nothing fancy here. Just good Greek diner food. They are only open for breakfast and lunch. The service is friendly and prompt. Wonderful pancakes with good crispy bacon. Home fries and pea soup are especially very good. Everything is made fresh each day - potatoes are peeled in the kitchen for mashed and the vegetables and meats are all prepared daily in their kitchen. The diner is family owned and the family is always there. It's a Summit staple and hopefully will continue to stay for many more years. And, oh yes, you can purchase liter bottles of imported Greek olive oil made by the owner's brother back in Greece. I only buy my virgin oil there. Two bottles at a time. You can return to refill your bottle (s) as needed.

Loved Peppercorn. Mother's Day visit was so unplanned. Service was excellent. Big time diner in a cozy Summit location. The food was fresh and good

We came here on a Saturday around 11am to grab brunch, and they had plenty of seats for us. We got a Open Tuna Melt and a Broccoli Omelette with Mozzarella and both were quite good! I'd totally get the Open Tuna Melt again. The bill came out to $30 with two cups of coffee. Our waitress was kind and quick. Ambiance is pretty chill, everything felt clean and straightforward. We parked out front on the street. Would recommend coming here if you want to satisfy diner food craving!
